Google Service Provider

Not sure if this exists or not, but an organization that is dedicated to offering Google Services, on the infrastructure side, they would offer assistance with Set-up of Google Mail / Calendar / Apps etc.. on the Programming side they would offer assistance with Google API development / google cloud computing. On the marketing side they would offer assistance with Google Adwords / Google analytics / Search engine optimization etc...

Group vs individual

So a TV show where a bunch of people are pulled together to compete against an individual, I was originally thinking that it would be invention type things, where a really smart genious type competes against a bunch of random people to solve a problem or do some Apprentice type challenge...

Is one person smarter then the masses, find out next week on Tom vs. World....

Hold-it

So the idea is a post it that can also hold things, so post-its with a ring for pens. So if you havea notebook that does nto have a wring for pens you insert a post it and whamo instant pen holder, also could havea larger hole for highlighters and can attach to text books etc.

Ceritification Organization for Green Products

Have you ever wondered if how well does my town do at recycling? If I put a battery in a recycle container at a store does it really get recycled or if I send pay an org to take my computer away to get recycled does it really get recycled. Or even if I buy somethign that is made with 30% post consumer waste is it truely from that waste?

Well I suggest an organization to certify those and many more green initiatives...

Any thoughts?

EZ Share

I hate that people print out presentations for meetings etc.. But the main reason people do this is so that everyone in the meeting is looking at the same thing, and sometimes people do not have access to corporate networks etc... The way people currently share data is to use a USB fob and pass around the presentation which is a pain.

So my thought is to expand the bluetooth spec to include a drop box, The user that wants to share places the document in the drop box on there computer, then the bluetooth would kick on and share the doc, a password could be placed on it so people standing outside the room could not get the doc etc... But it would more or less transfer to all the computers instantly. This would be great in a university setting when the teacher has a handout, damn the entire class has it! The other usefull application is if E-ink readers take off, this could be a way of sharing files without having to worry about a roubust OS underneath able to browse a intranet etc....

VDI application/user drives

OK, about 3 years ago I came up with this idea and should have run with it then but never got around to it so here it is. So in vmware esx, you can add disk drives on the fly, this is key to what I will call VDI application/user drives

In VDM you can have linked clones, where a base image is used to create child images. The base image is shared so Windows is only loaded once, then you create a differential which records changes to that base image. If an application is installed then that data is saved in the differential and not the base etc...

So I think each user should have there own drive, through extensive folder redirection etc. all user session data would be saved to this location, the users actualdocuments etc. shoudl still be saved to an external NAS or other location seperate from this share, which is more or less profile information. All applications would also be installed via a thinapp environment to there own shares as well.

As users connect to desktops there user drive would be connected and the application drives which are used. Keep in mind these would be most likly not "drive letters" but folder locations so you are not limited to a small number of applications or conflicts with other mapped drives. Applications could be optimized to operate in this shared environment. ]

Seems like there is something to using the SAN to attach to applications etc, instead of copying accross the network just to write to the san etc.

Does this make any sense at all?

New Book for students

I was thinking last night that I should write abook about how to optimize your collegic efforts, AKA how to get an A even though you only recieved a B average on your graded school work. There are a few secrets to get on the good side of teachers, make sure that you deliver what the teacher wants and in the end get a better grade. I can probably think of at least 10 different "techniques" Maybe while I am working on Meghan and my restaurant I can start writting during the down periods...

Socks from Jason

I think this is a great idea, and possibly the basis for my website. socksandunderwear.com

So A big L and R on the bottom of socks so that they always wear and fit better as well as a code to indicate they are matches... The code would only be visible when they are right side out!

We can start a sock revolution!
